The model emphasizes four Phases by Nir Eyal:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
(1) Trigger,<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
(2) Action,<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
(3) Variable Reward,<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
(4) investment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
# Triggers the first phase in the Hook Model.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 1.\u00a0<\/strong>Paid Triggers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Paid can be effective but costly ways to keep users coming back which includes advertising, search engine marketing, or influencers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 2.\u00a0<\/strong>Earned Triggers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Drive ongoing user acquisition, companies must keep their product in the limelight such as through media coverage, viral content, or app store placement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 3.\u00a0<\/strong>Relationship Triggers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 People love to tell one another about offers like user invitations, referral marketing, or social alerts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 4.\u00a0<\/strong>Owned Triggers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Consistently show up in daily life such as email lists, app notifications, or other opt-in alerts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n # The Second phase of the Hooked Model is Ability.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Ability to complete an action and the user\u2019s willingness, or capacity for completing those steps.
